Who You’ll Be Talking To

My Approach: Practical, Direct, Built for Real Life

Life does not pause when you are overwhelmed. Work, family, and responsibility keep moving, even when your head feels cluttered or you are running on fumes. My approach to therapy is focused on helping you sort through what is happening, think more clearly, and help you decide what needs done.

I work with men across Ohio through secure telehealth sessions. Most of the men I work with are capable, responsible, and used to figuring things out on their own, until the stress piles up or a life change knocks things off track. Therapy becomes a place to step back, look at the situation honestly, and get clear about what you are dealing with and what direction makes sense.

My work is structured and practical. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and solution-focused therapy to help you identify what is getting in your way, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and build strategies that fit your day-to-day life. We focus on what works, not theory for its own sake.

In sessions, we talk through real situations you are facing, whether that is stress, burnout, anxiety, or a major transition. We will work toward clearer thinking, better decision-making, and tools you can actually use when feeling stressed. Progress does not come from dramatic breakthroughs. It comes from steady changes that hold up in real life and help you feel more capable, focused, and in control over time.

What to Expect When We Work Together

  • Flexible, secure telehealth sessions that fit real life.

Sessions are held through secure video, with scheduling options that work for busy adults and families. No commuting, no waiting rooms, and no need to rearrange your entire day.

  • Therapy built around clarity and direction.
Sessions focus on helping you sort through what is happening, identify what matters most, and decide what needs to change. The goal is not endless talking, but clearer thinking and better decisions.

  • Practical, structured conversations.
We work through real situations you are dealing with. You can expect direct feedback, focused questions, and an emphasis on understanding problems well enough to respond differently.

  • A clear plan you can apply in real life.
We set goals that make sense for your situation and build strategies you can actually use at work, at home, and under pressure. Progress comes from steady action, not dramatic breakthroughs.

  • Consistency and follow-through.
We check in on what you are applying between sessions, adjust as needed, and keep moving forward at a realistic pace. The aim is stability, confidence, and direction over time.

What Clients Notice Over Time

Many men come into therapy able and independent, but facing increasing stress, repetitive patterns, or major life changes that slow them down. Over time, clients often describe:

  • Feeling more stable in their thinking and better able to handle pressure

  • Clarity about what matters most and direction on next steps

  • Greater confidence in relationships and decisions

  • Tools that feel practical and useful in everyday life

Therapy with me is grounded in real life outcomes, not abstract concepts..

A Little About Me

I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati and have spent over a decade working in mental health, including crisis response, inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient therapy. Working in stressful environments taught me how to stay steady, think clearly, and focus on what actually helps when things feel complicated or overwhelming.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time fixing, building, and working on things around the house. Most of the projects in and around my home I do myself. I like to research, watch how others do it, and then figure it out step by step. I like having a clear plan and a process to follow, even if a few finishing details take longer than expected. I also try to spend as much time as I can outside, working in the garden, sitting around the fire, or trying to perfect something on my smoker with my family nearby.

I value independence, reliability, and follow-through. I believe small, repeatable actions matter more than big gestures, and that steady effort is what actually moves things forward. I don’t believe people should have to figure everything out alone, but I do believe progress comes from showing up, paying attention, and making realistic adjustments over time. That mindset carries through how I approach my work and how I live day to day.

Why This Practice Exists

I did not set out to become a therapist. Over time, I found that the work I connected with most was helping men make sense of stress, pressure, and change, especially when life felt heavy and the next step was unclear. That is where my strengths showed up consistently, and where the work felt I was the most useful.

I am not interested in quick fixes or trendy advice. This practice exists to offer a place where you can step back, think clearly, and talk things through. The focus is practical support and realistic steps that help you regain direction, rebuild confidence, and function better in everyday life.

Helping men regroup and move forward is the part of this work that keeps me doing it. I value being reliable while someone sorts through what has been weighing on them, and I take that responsibility seriously. This practice exists for men who are ready to face things directly and move forward with clearer direction, even when the path is not obvious.
