My Approach
Life doesn’t slow down when you’re overwhelmed. Between work, responsibilities, and all the expectations you carry, it can feel like there’s no space to catch your breath or think clearly. Therapy offers a place to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and move forward intentionally instead of reactively.
I work with adults across Ohio through secure telehealth sessions, helping with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. My approach is structured but flexible, blending practical strategies from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
We’ll talk through what’s been getting in your way, find tools that fit your real life, and practice changes that hold up under stress, not just when things are calm. Progress doesn’t require big breakthroughs. Small, consistent steps in the right direction can completely shift the path you’re on.
Why I Became a Therapist
I didn’t plan on becoming a therapist. Life led me here gradually, and over time I realized that I was good at helping people find direction when things felt uncertain. It wasn’t about having all the answers but about asking the right questions and creating space for people to steady themselves once more.
What keeps me in this field are the quiet moments that add up: seeing people gain confidence, build boundaries, and find calm where there used to be chaos. I value being someone dependable that people can lean on while they do the work of change.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the middle stretch of life. Many are professionals, caregivers, or independent people who tend to hold everything together for everyone else. They’re capable and responsible but running on empty from constant stress, decision fatigue, or the pressure to keep up.
My clients come to therapy when they’re ready to simplify, focus, and get unstuck. With over twelve years in mental health, I’ve supported people through burnout, anxiety, major transitions, and periods of reevaluating what they want next. Sessions are collaborative and straightforward. We set clear goals, stay on track, and build tools that translate to daily life.
You don’t have to fix everything overnight. You just need a place to start moving again.
What to Expect
Therapy with me is calm, structured, and focused on what works. The first few sessions are about understanding your history, your stress points, and what you want to change. We’ll build a plan together that’s practical and specific to you, moving at a realistic pace.
Sessions last 55 minutes and are held weekly or every other week, depending on your needs. I offer evening and weekend appointments to make scheduling easier. Between sessions, you’ll usually have a short task to work on, giving you something to keep progress moving forward.
Therapy is about talking but it is also about clarity, skill-building, and real-life application.
A Little About Me
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and have worked in mental health for more than a decade, from inpatient crisis work to long-term therapy. That experience taught me to stay calm under pressure and focus on what’s actually helpful in the moment.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in the garden, hiking a new trail, cooking with my family, or working on small restoration projects around the house. I like quiet, hands-on things that remind me of what therapy really is: consistent effort, patience, and steady improvement over time. That’s the same energy I bring into my sessions, to be grounded, clear, and practical.
